Personal Childhood Web

   1.       Mom
   2.       Father
   3.       My brothers (Shon & Torian)
   4.       Grandmother
   5.       Mrs. Smith

These are the people who greatly influence my life. My mom and dad have and always will be a great influence. They raised me to become the strong and ambitious woman that I am today. My mother is a woman who is very strong-willed and puts her faith in God first in everything she does. She reminds me to always put God first and he will do the rest. She supports me in all that I do and encourages me to be the best person I can be. My father is not the best when expressing his feelings but he would buy me almost anything I wanted when I was a kid. By the time I became 18, he stopped and only gave me money or things I needed. It was fun while it lasted……. : ( My father is a mechanic so whenever I come home, he checks my car to make sure that things are okay with it. So both of my parents make a huge impact of my life and I thank God for the both of them.
My brothers have an impact on my life as well. Shon, my brother has been very close to me since birth. He is my big brother. He gives me great advice about life and would always check up on me when I was in school to make sure that I was doing well. Every summer he would invite to spend with him and he would enroll me in activities that impact my life or gave me a set of skills. Both of my brothers are police officers so they definitely makes sure I am good to go. My other brother Torian is very annoying to me but that is his way of showing that he loves me. He is my big brother as well. Sometimes its pretty cool to be the baby of the family!
My grandmother is someone very special to me because she is the queen of the family and is the only grandmother I have living. She was also my caregiver while my parents worked. She would always give me snacks and comforted me when I was sick or hurt. She also gave me my nickname as well. My grandmother is a very strong woman as well. She has endured so much throughout her life and I admire and respect her so much! Mrs. Smith was one of my mom’s closest ministry friends. This woman was like a second mother to me and always gave me an encouraging word. She would give me gifts and ask me how I was doing in school. She is now deceased but I will always remember her.

  1. It sound like you have been blessed to have grown up with the Lord in your life. I was just baptized 3 years ago after attending 2 years of classes to learn about God as well as the church. I am so happy to have finally filled the missing link that now makes me feel complete. Your family seems wonderful and now nice it was that your grandmother could take care of you while your mother worked. That is priceless!

  2. Angel you have a great famliy! I see that your mother is big on faith, and so is my mother. She always says the same thing to me to have faith in God and he will do the rest. Is great to have moms like ours because they work hard to instill in you their faith and I am a better person because of that, it looks like you are to. Is great to have brothers that gives us good advice when we need it the most.

  4. Angel,
When I was reading your blog, I found myself smiling because of what you said your mother would tell you about God. My mother would tell me the same thing. In our family we put God first, and just like our mother's said, He does take care of the rest. I am happy that you are open in our faith and not afraid to mention God. You rock! My grandmother is my only grandmother left too. I remember summers of spending time with her out on the ranch, those are some of the best memories I have! Thank you so much for sharing and being open with us.
