My Childhood

Hello, my name is Angel Boone and this here is a picture of me as a child! My favorite quote in Early Childhood is "PLAY is the highest form of research" by Albert Einstein. It is very true because that is what all children do to fully understand the world around them. They make mistakes, they may be told no, but they get right back up and try again until they find the true meaning. I feel like at this age, you are the boldest and most adventurous person there is and that's what makes a kid....a kid!

As a little kid, my favorite book was by Dr. Seuss and the name of it was called "The Sneetches". I liked it so much that I watched the video at least 5 times a day!! The moral of the story to me was to look past our physical differences and to learn to accept each on how we are and to work together. A man in the story, came and took advantage of the Sneetches by making a machine that could put stars on the ones who didn't have one. The Sneetches who already had stars got upset and decided to get rid of their stars. They spent loads of money on trying to out do one another. They find out in the end that no Sneetch was better than the other, so it brought them closer together. The songs in the video really had me going and I enjoyed them as well. Dr. Seuss will always be a great classic to me!

  1. Angel,
I love your quote! I hold the same belief and get frustrated at the people who do not understand the meaning of play :/ The Sneetches is a fabulous book for teaching about differences and the fact that no one person is better than another. Thanks for sharing!

It has been great being in a learning community with you the past eight weeks. I have enjoyed your postings and pictures so much. I know that you are new to this field, and I wish nothing but the best of luck to you. You will do great things and have taken one of the best steps in your goal with early childhood. If you every need anything, feel free to let me know. Best of luck!
